KENDALL (CBSMiami) – A man is under arrest Tuesday after an alert neighbor, who spotted the suspect going from car-to-car allegedly stealing goods, called police.
Bryan Aneiro was arrested Tuesday after the alleged crime spree in a neighborhood near SW 113 Avenue and 43 Lane.
Around 3 AM, a neighbor said he spotted a man driving down the street checking car doors.
"A gentlemen bouncing out of the vehicle and going from car to car and removing items from each vehicle eventually making his way down the street," said Billy Franco, who called 911 and followed the alleged crook.
He said that cops eventually found the man sitting in one of the cars that he's accused of breaking into.
"They actually found them in one of our vehicles hiding," said Samuel Perano, a neighbor.
The man was arrested and his SUV was searched for possible evidence.
Inside the SUV, investigators found golf clubs, electronics, wallets, a checkbook—even a pressure cleaner.
"That's very sad because we're hardworking people," said Melvin Rozco, a victim of the alleged theft.
Some of the victims said the man took tools from their work trucks, while others said they are missing cash and credit cards.
"He obviously doesn't care that I have a kid and everything and he just went into my car," said Lizsandra Cruz. "He took my daughter's iPad and my wallet."
The victims said they are thankful for Franco, the alert neighbor who called police.
"He's a hero," said Perano.
And many said they hope the suspect won't go snooping around their neighborhood—or anywhere else ever again.
"I'm pressing charges so I hope he learns his lesson," said Perano.
