Navarro: Corn Elder Could Become 'Best Punter Returner' in Country
Corn Elder brought the boom in the first game of his junior season, finishing with a punt return for a touchdown (a second was called back), two tackles for loss, and a game ball against Bethune Cookman.
"He was a running back really in high school," the Miami Herald's Manny Navarro said on the Big O Show. "When he got here, it was one of those deals where they needed cornerbacks. They hadn't recruited too well at the position, and Corn was like, 'alright, I'll move to cornerback.'
"He's had to learn the position for two years. Finally, he gets an opportunity when Braxton Berrios goes down on punt return and takes two of them back to the house. You saw how tremendous he is with the ball in his hands. I think it's just the beginning. I think this guy is maybe going to be the best punt returner in the country by the time it's over."
