Michael Lohan Charged With Battery

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - Lindsay Lohan's father Michael was arrested Monday on a domestic violence related charge.

Lohan turned himself in to Boca Raton police and was charged with a single count of battery. He was then released.

The incident occurred in October, according to the Sun-Sentinel. Lohan and his wife, Kate Major, were arguing when she claims she saw him hit one of their children. Major said she grabbed her cellphone and recorded what happened next.

Major said Lohan grabbed her, choked her and slapped her, according to the Sun-Sentinel. She didn't

Major said then left the home but didn't contact the police because of an ongoing case with the Department of Children and Families. When she did go to police in November, she gave them the video of the altercation, according to the Sun-Sentinel.

It is unclear why Lohan is being arrested for the incident almost two months after it occurred.
