Miami-Dade Schools Superintendent Honored In Washington, D.C.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (CBSMiami) – Miami-Dade Public Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvalho added an award to his list of achievements Thursday night.
Carvalho was honored at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. at the Hispanic Heritage Awards ceremony.
The ceremony recognized Carvalho with the Education Award for academic achievements
Carvalho was recognized with the Education Award for his academic achievements serving one of the largest Hispanic-serving districts in the country.
Also, he was recognized for his stance on Dreamers, undocumented students who live in the United States.
