Grieving Family Searching For Answers After Loved One Possibly Pushed Into Oncoming Traffic

NORTH MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A grieving family in search for answers as North Miami Police investigate the possible homicide of their 24-year-old relative.
Rashard Pierce was struck and killed by a vehicle off NE 135th street and 3rd Avenue Saturday just after 7:00 p.m.
Police say Rashard may have possibly been pushed into oncoming traffic by an unknown black male wearing all dark clothing.
"The detective said that he didn't even have a chance, like it was timed perfectly. As soon as he was pushed, the car hit him," said Rashard's sister, Niya Dukes-Louden.
Rashard's family says he worked at Goodwill and was disabled and they wonder who could have done something so cruel.
"He was visually-impaired which made it difficult for him to really see. He had a form of autism. So he had his disabilities so we know that that's what kept him kind of to himself so he was kind of a loner so for someone to do this to him was cruel," said Dukes-Louden.
Rashard was killed after getting off the bus as he was on his way home.
The family is asking for the person responsible to come forward.
"Just come forward. You messed up. You did something wrong. Now you gotta be judged for it," said Rashard's brother, Hadji Dukes.
"Once he got off that bus stop, we don't know. We don't know if the person was on the bus with him. We don't know if the person met him. He has a routine. So we don't know if this is someone who's been watching him. We don't know," said Dukes-Louden.
