Lighthouse Point Peeping Tom Reportedly Spied On Teen Girl In Shower

LIGHTHOUSE POINT (CBSMiami) - A Delray Beach man was taken into custody after he reportedly spied on a teen girl in the shower.

Lighthouse Point police said a witness spotted 40-year-old Sean Salev outside of a bathroom window of the teen's home looking in while the girl was undressed and showering.

"There's evidence to indicate he targeted and stalked and followed this child from a dance recital or dance class in Boca Raton to Lighthouse Point," said prosecutor Eric Linder during Salev's bond hearing.

The judge mentioned that as well.

"The allegations in the probable cause affidavit are obviously very concerning, especially in light of the fact that the pc indicates there's evidence to suggest, as Mr. Linder just stated, that the minor victim in this case was possibly targeted at dance studio in Boca and followed to Lighthouse Point," said Judge Corey Amanda Cawthon

Salev has been charged with voyeurism, burglary, and fleeing police.

Police noted that the bathroom window is in a fenced-in section of the home's yard and that by entering the area, he committed burglary.

When he was reportedly spotted looking into the window, Salev took off into the neighborhood.

A perimeter was set up and the Broward sheriff's office assisted in the search with a helicopter and two K9s.

The sheriff's helicopter crew spotted Salev hiding in some bushes by a home in the 2500 block of NE 47th Street where he was taken into custody by a K-9 officer.

Salev's public defender pointed out that his client was injured in his arrest and wanted it noted.

"We're going to request a photo order so we can get photographs of the injuries Mr. Shalev sustained as a result of his interaction with a police dog," said Hector Romero.

"His interaction, as Mr. Romero put it, with a K9 was a result of him fleeing the area and trying to conceal himself where a K-9, aviation, and units had to set up a perimeter to try to locate him," countered Linder.

Salev was taken to North Broward Medical Center where he was treated for several cuts on his right arm.
