Legoland Needs 800 More Workers

WINTER HAVEN (CBS4) -- Do you want to be a "model citizen?" A new central Florida theme park wants you.

Legoland Florida calls its employees "model citizens" and the new Winter Haven park is looking to find and train 800 more workers before the Oct. 15 opening. Park officials said the jobs will be in operations, retail, food service and guest relations.

The 150-acre attraction is opening on the site of the old Cypress Gardens, which was one of Florida's first theme parks. Cypress Gardens' water ski shows and botanical gardens are being retained as part of Legoland.

With millions of the iconic plastic building blocks incorporated into more than 50 rides and attractions, Legoland will cater families with children 2 to 12.

Potential employees must apply through the park's website: florida.legoland.com.
