TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/NSF) - Florida lawmakers will hold a special session in October to redraw Senate districts, Senate President Andy Gardiner and House Speaker Steve Crisafulli announced Tuesday afternoon.
The special session is scheduled from Oct. 19 through Nov. 6 and stems from a Senate agreement with voting-rights groups that have challenged the constitutionality of the Senate districts.
Lawmakers also are scheduled to hold a special session starting Aug. 10 to redraw congressional districts.
