Law Enforcement Source: Rapper Lil Wayne's Private Jet Searched For Drugs At South Florida Airport

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Rapper Lil Wayne could be in some legal trouble after federal agents searched his private jet Monday night.

A senior law enforcement source told CBS4 News that federal agents, working on a tip, were waiting at Opa-locka Executive Airport for the rapper – real name is Dwayne Carter Jr. – and his associates.

Upon their arrival, agents searched the plane for drugs and in the process found a gun.

According to another senior law enforcement source, authorities were operating with a state warrant.

The second source added that Lil Wayne is not in custody and no one in his group was arrested.

Late Monday night, the rapper tweeted: "All goody!  I think they thought I was talking (about) a different "Pack" in my last tweet.  But anyway GO PACK GO!!!"

His previous tweet, which stated "GO PACK GO!!!!!," was in support of the Green Bay Packers ahead of their Monday Night Football matchup.

While Lil Wayne tweeted he was in the clear, the second CBS4 source he is expected to be indicted by the U.S. Attorney's Office. No time frame was given, but it appears it will happen after the holidays.
