Judge: Broward Schools Had No Responsibility To Warn Students, Parents About Confessed Parkland Shooter

BROWARD (CBSMiami) – A Broward County circuit judge ruled Monday that the Broward School District had no responsibility to warn students and parents about the danger posed by confessed Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz.

Judge Patti Englander said the district had no control over Cruz because he was a former student.

Englander added that a lawsuit against the district has too few solid claims.

Sunday will mark three years since 17 people died in the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
