Heat's Justin Hamilton Undergoes Procedure
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – As the Miami Heat continue preparing for a new NBA season, one of their reserve players is on the mend.
Forward Justin Hamilton underwent a procedure on Monday to repair an atrial flutter, the team announced on Tuesday.
Hamilton had been experiencing light-headedness during practice and was sent to Doctors Hospital to be examined, where he was later diagnosed. The procedure was done at South Miami Hospital.
Hamilton will remain sidelined for a few days but is expected to begin non-contact exercises within the next week.
After approximately three weeks, Hamilton will be re-evaluated prior to being able to join his teammates for regular practices. He's expected to make a full recovery.
