Haslem's Foot Mending

MIAMI (CBS4) -- Heat forward Udonis Haslem has set some goals for himself; to return to play next month.

Haslem, who was been sidelined since Nov. 20 with a ruptured foot ligament, was expected by some to sit out the season, but he begs to differ.

He says the walking boot protecting his surgically repaired left foot should be gone Tuesday, after which he can begin rehabilitation.

One of the Heat's star players, Haslem has been in a cast for several weeks, then the walking boot.

If doctors clear him, Haslem said he plans to start rehab immediately.

Along with Dwyane Wade, he's one of the two remaining Heat players from Miami's 2006 NBA championship team.
