GOP Ad Featuring Former Obama Supporter Is Actually RNC Staffer

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A GOP pollster for presidential nominee Mitt Romney made waves recently saying the campaign wouldn't let fact-checkers get in their way. Apparently, the campaign is already taking that statement quite literally.

Thursday, the GOP debuted a new ad online that featured a woman purporting to be a former Obama supporter who was expressing disillusionment with the president.

The only problem with the ad is that the woman portraying a former Obama supporter is Bettina Inclan, the Republican National Committee Director of Hispanic Outreach. According to talkingpointsmemo.com, the RNC embraced that ad saying it was a "lighthearted ad."

According to TPM.com, Inclan also performed Hispanic outreach for Governor Rick Scott's 2010 bid and worked for Republican Representative Lincoln Diaz-Balart, Rep. Thaddeus McCotter, and with the Republican National Hispanic Assembly.
