Girls Only, Please, At Spa And Fashion Weekend
MIAMI BEACH - (CBS4) - If you're a man, stop reading. This is not for you. The 3rd annual "Girlfriends Getaway Weekend" is planned as 3 days of feminine fun, an indulgent weekend of women celebrating women. Loosen your wallet and prepare for pampering.
" It's shopping, sipping , spa-ing, indulging. It's a lot of girl time and a lot of fun," said Sarah Murov, Public Realtions Director at The Loew's Miami Beach. The hotel started the event three years ago as a way of showing off it's renovations, but it's since grown into its own, drawing women from around the country.
This year Loews partnered with Ocean Drive Magazine to bring in pop up shops featuring everything from Essie Manicures to Keratin Complex Hair treatments, the latest Fashion eyewear from local vendor "See Eyewear", resort wear by Trina Turk and swimwear.
"We are working with some great fashion brands to bring in style and fashion to some of the pop ups for the big weekend" said Ocean Drive Magazine's Jackie Maihle.
Super star stylist Brad Goresky, featured on the Bravo network, will also be on hand to talk fashion trends and to sign his book.
And let's not forget fitness.. Exercise guru Tracie Wright Vlaun will feature her -"ARoga" classes, to go for the burn
"Aroga is aerobic yoga; it's Vinyasa flow yoga, then I infuse with aerobics , l bring the heart rate up," said fitness guru Tracie Wright Vlaun. "Then there's Pilates as well as cardio boxing. It's so much fun ."
It's a busy weekend, so you can imagine that the getaway is a bit pricey.
"It's $499 per person," said Murov, "and that includes a 2 night stay, 2 breakfasts, 2 complete happy hours and all the complimentary services and fitness classes, plus an awesome swag bag!"
While the hotel's website said the price is based on double occupancy, Murov said single guests will be accepted at the same price.
