Gas Line Ruptures In Hialeah Forcing Evacuations
HIALEAH (CBSMiami) – A gas line ruptured Thursday afternoon when a drilling crew struck it.
Hialeah Fire Rescue rushed to the scene at W 78 Street and 24 Avenue where the four-inch ruptured.
Traffic had to be diverted and streets were closed between W 76 Street and 78 Street on 24 Avenue.
City Gas sent a contractor to repair the line.
No injuries were reported, but businesses in the immediate area were evacuated.
