Florida Fugitive Siblings May Have Been Spotted Out West
COLORADO SPRINGS (CBS4) – A brother and sister trio from Florida wanted for crimes here and in Georgia may have been spotted in Colorado.
Police said they have received "credible information" that people matching the description of 21-year-old Ryan Edward Dougherty, 26-year-old Dylan Dougherty Stanley and 29-year-old Lee Grace Dougherty were seen near downtown Colorado Springs around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
Colorado Springs Sgt. Steven Noblitt said it hasn't been confirmed that they are in the area.
The trio believed to be the Florida fugitive siblings were in a small white vehicle with the stolen Texas license plate LCS 909. The Doughertys had been seen in a white sedan.
A nationwide manhunt for the three began Aug. 2. They're accused of opening fire on a Florida officer during a chase and then robbing a bank in Georgia.
