Florida FEMA assistance tops $1.2 billion after Hurricanes Helene, Milton

FEMA says Florida received another $124 million-plus for disaster recovery and hazard mitigation projects, bringing total federal support to more than $1.2 billion over the last 90 days.

Most of the new money, nearly $117 million, is through public assistance, while nearly $7.5 million is for mitigation work meant to reduce future storm damage.
