Firefighters Battle Smoky Fire At Hialeah Park
HIALEAH (CBSMiami) – Thick white smoke turned to turned grey as it billowed from the roof of a building at Hialeah Park.
Hialeah Fire spokesman Cesar Espinosa said there was a small spot fire in a wall which workers thought they had put out with an extinguisher.
Chopper4 over the scene, at E 4th Avenue and E 22nd Street, spotted a steady stream of smoke wafting from the building's gable.
Firefighters ran hoses through the upper windows of the building as they attacked the fire from the inside.
Espinosa did not what sparked the fire or have a damage estimate.
Live racing returns to Hialeah Park on December 10th.
