Miami Seaquarium is a 38-acre park where visitors can enjoy marine-life shows and exhibits 365 days a year. They are only closed during severe inclement weather. The website estimates that it will take approximately four hours to enjoy all that the park has to offer. There are eight animal shows and presentations, plus educational programs and exhibits. Miami Seaquarium is where the Flipper television show and the ensuing Flipper movies were filmed. Salty the Sea Lion movies were also filmed at this park. For over 50 years, the Seaquarium has been rescuing injured animals from all over the United States.
Dolphin Odyssey
Price: Starts at $210
The Dolphin Odyssey ticket includes a dorsal pull, kiss, handshake, rubbing the dolphins, and feeding them. Guests will be supplied with a wet suit and will get a short course on the physiology and behavior of dolphins. Interaction with the dolphins is for approximately 30 minutes. Observers are allowed to watch you swim with the dolphins. Cost for observers is $44.00 - $53.00. Advance registration is required to guarantee a time to swim with the dolphins.
Dolphin Encounter
Price: $150.00 - 165.00 for participants; $44.00 - $53.00 for observers
The Dolphin Encounter, like the Dolphin Odyssey, is a 30 minute encounter with a dolphin. After taking part in a short class on the dolphin and its mannerisms, as well as how to work with dolphins, guests will meet their dolphin friends. Participants will stand in shallow water and pet the dolphins, feed them, shake hands, and even learn training signals to use with the dolphins. The entire program takes about one and a half hours. Bathing suits are suggested to wear under the wetsuit that guests will wear during the encounter.
VIP Tour
Price: $149.00 for adults; $139 for children ages three to nine years old
This is the perfect activity for those who do not want to go swimming with dolphins. Instead, take a tour of the park with a private tour guide. Guests can meet macaws and iguanas, feed manatees, sea turtles, and stingrays, and even have your picture taken with a sea lion or a dolphin. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance due to the limited availability of this activity. At least two guests must be booked in order to have a VIP Tour.

Trainer For A Day
Price: $495.00 for Participants; $53.00 for observers
Trainer For A Day participants will work side by side with a Seaquarium trainer. Participants will learn training basics and orientations on the various shows performed throughout the day. In addition, participants will help with setting up the daily shows, as well as watching and critiquing each show. Each participant in the Trainer For A Day program will also get to take part in a dolphin odyssey interaction. Finally, participants will enjoy lunch with your trainer partner, photos from your day as a trainer, and souvenirs.
Dining And Snack Areas
Miami Seaquarium has several cafes, restaurants, and snack carts available around the park. Guests can enjoy hot dogs at Pink's Hollywood Hot Dogs, or cheeseburgers, chicken fingers, or salads at the Manatee Bay Café. The Dolphin Snack Bar sells popcorn, soft pretzels, smoothies, ice cream, and more. Pulled pork sandwiches, chicken, baked beans, and roasted corn is sold at the Paradise Cove BBQ. Whale Spout Pizza sells, what else, pizza! Whatever your tastes, you will find something good to eat at one of the diners or snack bars at Miami Seaquarium.
