MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – An 'Entourage' star will have her own entourage now.

Emmanuelle Chriqui was named Ocean Drive's first ever 'Woman of Influence' and graces the magazine's May/June issue.

CBS4 caught up with the actress at a party celebrating the announcement at the SLS South Beach hotel.

"It's such an honor," she said, "It's nice to be doing what I love to do and being very active in philanthropic things, as well, and having it all come together.

Fans of the hit HBO series, now feature film, 'Entourage' know Chriqui as 'Sloan', the one who keeps the wild boys in check.

Shooting the movie, she said, was not that much different than the show. It just took longer.

"The show was just so cinematic - so when we were shooting the movie it was like oh, yeah, this feels normal, this feels right," said Chriqui.

Ocean Drive's editor-in-chief, Jared Shapiro, said choosing Chriqui was a no-brainer.

"We couldn't be happier to have Emmanuelle down here and celebrate with us," he said, "We want women who are not only beautiful, but really have a great purpose in life and what they do in giving to charities."

And give she does.

Chriqui is a member of the Environmental Media Association, an organization that encourages people to be more environmentally aware – and Raise Hope for Congo, where she remains an active voice for abused women.

"It's the most dangerous place in the world for women to exist right now," said Chriqui.

When Chriqui isn't out saving the world (or gracing magazine covers) – you'll find her right here in South Florida.

"Whenever I want to get away, it's easy! I head to Miami. I have tons of friends here. My boyfriend is born and raised in Miami - so there's lots of, you know, ties here."
