TAMPA (CBSMiami/AP) — A Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputy who fired at an armed man outside a Tampa home has been placed on administrative leave.

Late Sunday night, sheriff's deputies were sent to the home after receiving reports of gunfire. At the scene, they found multiple gunshot holes in the home and a Buick LaSabre parked outside.

They also encountered an armed man. Deputy Andrew Glassman fired one shot but missed the man, who dropped his weapon.

Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Debbie Carter said Monday that the man lives at the home and refused to cooperate with investigators. It's unclear what led to the shots fired at the home and the car.

Another man inside the home was arrested on a Broward County warrant.
