Daily Show Asks Scott For Urine Test
TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami.com) – Governor Rick Scott has faced hard reporter questions before, but Wednesday, one reporter wanted to see Scott look relieved.
Scott was giving a press conference Wednesday when The Daily Show with Jon Stewart's reporter, Aasif Mandvi, stood up and asked Scott to urinate in a cup for a drug test.
Mandvi was asking the question in reference to Governor Scott's request to test state employees and welfare recipients.
Scott responded that he's done it hundreds of times.
So, Mandvi tried to get other reporters to pass a urine test cup to the governor. The cup never got to Scott and he quickly took questions from other reporters.
Scott's administration is currently in court appealing a federal court's injunction against a drug-testing law for welfare recipients.
