Dade Health Dept. Offering Free Back-To-School Immunizations

MIAMI (CBS4) – While the start of the new school year is a little more than a month away, now is the time for parents to be thinking about getting their children the needed immunizations for the new school year.

Miami-Dade's Health Department wants to make it easy for parents so they're providing free Back-to-School immunizations to children between the ages of 2 months through 18 years of age. Parents need to bring their child's immunization record and a picture ID.

For the rest of this month the free immunizations for adults and children will be provided at:

Downtown Clinic
1350 NW 14th Street
Miami
Mon.-Fri.
8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Little Haiti Health Center
300 NE 80th Terrace
Miami
Mon., Wed., and Fri.
8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

West Perrine Health Center
18255 Homestead Avenue
Miami
Monday to Friday
8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

For kids only:

Jefferson Reaves
1009 NW 5th Avenue
Miami
Tues. & Thurs.
8 a.m. -3:30 p.m.

In August, free immunizations for children only will be available at:

Jefferson Reaves
Tues. & Thurs. (8 a.m. -3:30 p.m.)
Starting 8/8/11 hours are
Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri. (8am-3:30pm)
Wed. (10am-5pm)

8:00 am – 3:30 pm

Adults wishing to get free immunizations in August can go to the Downtown Clinic, Mon. – Fri. from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
