Coral Springs Bicyclist Killed
CORAL SPRINGS (CBS Miami) – A Coral Springs woman was killed Friday afternoon while riding her bicycle.
According to the Coral Springs police, Sarra Heike, 22, was riding her bike northbound along University Drive in the sidewalk approaching Northwest 25th Court.
As she tried to cross University Drive just after 4 p.m., police said she was struck by a Chevrolet Malibu traveling north.
The driver, Richard Barrow, 18, stopped and was not hurt according to police.
However, Heike was taken to Broward North by air rescue, but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
