Career Fair At Don Shula's In Miami Lakes

MIAMI LAKES (CBSMiami) – Over 2,000 job positions are up for grabs at a mega job fair Wednesday in Miami Lakes.

The event is being held at the Don Shula's Hotel, 6842 Main St., until 2 p.m.

The companies will be looking to fill a number of job positions including cashiers, managers, sales representatives and more.

Coca Cola, for example, has openings for drivers, order builders and merchandisers. Walmart and Sears will also be recruiting at the event for assistant managers, shift managers, store managers and telephone sales representatives.

ALDI has immediate openings for manager trainees, shift managers and store associates.  Carnival Cruise Lines will be recruiting over 50 vacation planners and there will be more than 50 IT positions available from LaSalle Training Center, Inktel Contact Center Solutions and The Academy.

If you plan to attend, bring plenty of resumes, about 50 should do.

• Get Noticed By Applying Online. Pick out 5-10 companies from the list below that you are interested in working for and visit their website to apply online. If you receive a confirmation code or a print out of the application, bring it with you to show the company that you are especially interested in employment.
• Get Connected. Ask the hiring manager at each booth for a business card so you can follow up with them.
