Campaigns Continue To Pound Swing States

DAYTONA BEACH (CBSMiami) – President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney continue to take shots at each other Friday as both make their case for election in key swing states, including the Sunshine State.

Romney and his running mate Paul Ryan will hold a rally in Daytona Beach Friday night at 8:30 p.m. Ryan will be in Tampa before that looking to shore up support in the crucial I-4 corridor in central Florida.

Also in Florida, Vice-president Joe Biden will be making an appearance in Sun City Center on Friday to try to rally the base ahead of the November 6 election. For Democrats, turnout will be crucial if they want to keep the White House.

Early voting gets underway in Florida soon and absentee voting is already running ahead of the pace set in 2008 when Barack Obama won the White House. The president will be at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia for a rally Friday morning.

All of the rallies come as both campaigns are just 72 hours away from the third and final presidential debate set to be held at Lynn University in Boca Raton. The third debate will be moderated by CBS' Bob Schieffer and CBS4 will be providing extended coverage leading up to the debate.

The third debate is expected to focus on foreign policy.

The general election on November 6 is less than three weeks away.
