Body Pulled From Hialeah Canal

HIALEAH (CBSMiami) - A police diver pulled the body of a man from a Hialeah canal Monday morning.

The body was spotted in the water next to busy Okeechobee Road near SE 1st Street.

Police followed it as it drifted along as a diver prepared to go in after it.

Once in the water, the officer was able to pull it shore where fire rescue personnel recovered it.

Police have not released the name of the man or speculated as to the cause of death.
