Allegiant Air adds 2 new nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale for spring 2027

Allegiant Air is adding two seasonal nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, giving South Florida travelers new options for flying to Rhode Island and New Hampshire next spring.

The airline announced it will launch service from Fort Lauderdale to Providence, Rhode Island, and Portsmouth, New Hampshire, as part of its spring 2027 schedule.

Flights between Fort Lauderdale and Providence are scheduled to begin Feb. 13, 2027, and run through April 24. Service to Portsmouth is set to start Feb. 20 and continue through May 1.

"We're excited to announce these new routes into our growing network and will continue to look for opportunities to connect travelers with the destinations they want to visit most," Allegiant Chief Commercial Officer Drew Wells said in a statement.

The new flights are part of Allegiant's strategy of offering more seasonal service during periods of higher travel demand. The airline said the Fort Lauderdale routes are intended to serve travelers during spring break and other busy vacation periods.

Allegiant specializes in connecting smaller and mid-size cities with popular leisure destinations. Its business model allows the airline to add service when travel demand is high and reduce it during slower periods.
