Action-Packed "Iron Man 3" Trailer Reveals Tony Stark Struggle

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – If you were lucky enough to see Robert Downey Jr. in South Florida filming parts of "Iron Man 3," now everyone is lucky to see the just-released trailer for the highly-anticipated film.

This time around, Marvel's "Iron Man 3" pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds.

When Stark finds his personal world reduced to rubble by a malevolent enemy, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle.

The trailer explains that he's haunted by nightmares and worries about protecting "the one thing I can't live without."

Of course, that's Pepper Potts, played by Gwyenth Paltrow, who is seen in the trailer being tortured.

With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him.

There are lots of explosions and close calls and a great shot of the menacing villain, Mandarin, played by Ben Kingsley.

As Iron Man 3 fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Iron Man 3 opens nationwide on May 3, 2013.
