2 Suspects Sought, 1 Arrested In Davie Walgreens Liquor Store Robbery

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Davie police are looking for two suspects accused of targeting a Walgreens Liquor Store in Davie.

Police said it happened on October 13th at around 8:30 p.m. at the store located in the 13600 block of SR 84.

Authorities say two women and a man entered the store and spent a least 15 minutes loitering until there were a few customers left.

"He (referring to the male suspect) was going to grab some of the very expensive bottles of alcohol. The clerk went to grab his walkie talkie to notify the manager to call the police. That when he struggled and tried to prevent him from doing do," said Lt. Mark Leone of the Davie Police Department.

Store surveillance cameras show the male jumping over the counter and attacking the clerk as he attempts to use his walkie-talkie radio to call for help.

Video also shows one of the women jumping the counter to join in the attack of the clerk.

Police said that in the meantime, the third woman ran out of the store with stolen liquor bottles in hand.

"They saw the female that ran out with the bottles of alcohol running down the street close to the Walgreens, made an attempt to take her into custody. She was non-compliant at first, they had to use the taser on her," said Leone.

Police say she admitted stealing 4 bottles of booze.

Back in the store, the struggle continued for a few more moments.

We see the manager walk in as the woman in the shower cap picks up a bottle and tries to leave. She drops it and goes out empty-handed.

Seconds later, the male crook casually walks out. He too leaves with nothing.

Police hope someone will recognize them from this surveillance video.

This same Walgreens was robbed just last month, when a man demanded the clerk open the register and give him the money.

Police do not believe the two cases are connected.

Police identifed the woman who was arrested as Randazia Bryant.

The other two suspects are still on the run and have not been identified.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects is asked to contact the Davie police at 954-693-8200 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477)
