Celebs head out to Indianapolis for the Super Bowl

(CBS/AP) While Indianapolis is not known for being a celeb magnet, the Midwestern town is about to get an influx of celebrities thanks to the Super Bowl.

"It doesn't matter what state or what city it's going to be in, people are going to come and they're going to party and they will enjoy the game," said rapper-turned-celeb-DJ D-Nice, who is spinning at the ESPN Next party.

Celebrities from actor Alec Baldwin to rapper Drake will be in Indiana to see the New England Patroits battle the New York Giants, dispelling some initial concerns that the choice of Indianapolis might lead to weaker participation from stars than in previous years when the Super Bowl was held in sunny, celebrity-friendly cities like Miami or San Diego.

ESPN Super Bowl "Next" Party

(CBS) Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is hosting ESPN's celebrity-and-athlete studded "Next" party on Feb. 3.

Drake, fresh off of the release of his new album "Take Care," will be performing and DJ D-Nice will be spinning the tunes.

Last year's "Next" party was attended by Jordin Sparks, Linsday Lohan and Lil' Wayne and featured performances by Kid Rock and Rev. Run.

For those who want to go star gazing, general admission to the party will set attendees back $825.

Leather & Laces Party

(CBS) Leather & Laces throws its annual Super Bowl party on both Friday and on the eve of the Super Bowl.

The event on Friday night is to be hosted by Carmen Electra, Jenny McCarthy and "Jersey Shore" star J-Woww. On Saturday night, the original ladies from "Girl Next Door" Kendra Wilkinson, Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison help the crowd celebrate the eve of the Super Bowl.

Tickets start at $400.

GQ's Party presented by Lacoste

(CBS) On the Friday night before the Super Bowl, DJ ?uestlove of The Roots will be spinning tunes at GQ's Super Bowl party, while LL Cool J is scheduled to perform at the bash.

The guest list of celebrities for the party reads like a list of the magazine's cover options. The guests include "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm, Andy Roddick, Adam Sandler, David Arquette, along with football players Terrell Owens and Matt Leinart.

Audi Party

(CBS) The "Audi Forum" party inside the penthouse suite of the Conrad Hotel is providing celebrities with a temporary oasis inside Indianapolis.

Kellan Lutz, Spike Lee, Neil Patrick Harris and Mary J. Blige are all among the party's expected attendees.

Audi's chief marketing officer Scott Keogh said the Super Bowl's location didn't affect Audi's decision to throw a party.

"In our minds, it doesn't change a thing. Whether it's Miami with the warm weather or Arizon or Indianapolis, we always want to execute a smart forum...We still feel it's important to be there."

Super Bowl Village Performances

(CBS)The Super Bowl Village is hosting a free concert series, which on Friday hosts performances by LMFAO and Bret Michaels.

The event is held at the Indiana Convention Center and in addition to the performances hosts a ton of other activities including a zip line and ice sculpture carvings.

Fans of "Jersey Shore" can also see DJ Pauly D, fresh off of Britney Spears' tour, spin at the village before the other performances.

Coors Light Silver Bullet Lodge Party

(CBS) Coors Light is hosting a private party Friday night with performances by Ice Cube and a DJ set from Gym Class Hereos frontman Travie McCoy.

The exclusive event at the Vogue Theater is by invite only.

DirecTV Super Saturday Night Party

(CBS) Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban hosts this Saturday night's party with football star Peyton Manning.

The event is the after party for DirecTV's "Celebrity Beach Bowl" - a flag football competition in sand with stars Chace Crawford, Matt Bomer, Kate Upton and Erin Andrews all scheduled to play.

At the after-party Katy Perry is scheduled to peform and Tom Cruise's son Connor will be spinning in the DJ booth.

"NFL Honors" Party

(CBS) Alec Baldwin will host the two-hour prime-time awards show Saturday night, which will honor the best players and plays from the 2011 season.

The show will feature performances by Lenny Kravitz and appearances form various NFL stars including Shannon Sharpe, Steve Young and Barry Sanders.

The Bud Light Hotel Party

(CBS) The Bud Light Hotel Party is going to be loaded with rappers - 50 Cent, Lil Jon and Pitbull are all slated to perform.

The brewing company is turning the Hampton Inn in downtown Indianapolis into the "Bud Light Hotel" during Super Bowl weekend.

The hotel guests, most who earned their rooms through contests, will be using "Bud Light everything" - from pillows to shampoo - reports the Indianapolis Star.

Rolling Stone-Volkswagen Rock & Roll Fan Tailgate Party

(CBS) Rolling Stone is hosting a tailgate the day of the face-off between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants only two blocks from Lucas Oil Stadium.

The tailgate isn't a traditional tailgate: It will feature performances by Jane's Addiction, The Roots and Pete Wentz.

Also in attendance at the party will be legendary Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana. The Hall of Famer will throw passes to eight fans in the Volkswagen end zone and one lucky fan will win the chace to watch the Super Bowl along Montana's side.
