Yucaipa Man Accused Of Attempting To Lure Boy Into Car
HEMET (CBS) — Police say they have arrested a Yucaipa man suspected of trying to lure a 12-year-old boy into his vehicle near a Hemet middle school.
Police Lt. Dean Evans says 57-year-old Terry Allen Grisso was booked Thursday on suspicion of misdemeanor annoying or molesting a child.
The incident, which was reported Wednesday, took place near Acacia Middle School.
According to Evans, the boy was walking home from school when a man drove up in a green truck and asked if he would help him find a lost dog.
The boy headed back to school and reported the incident. Evans said the man did not attempt to grab or block him as he fled.
A day later, an officer pulled over a truck matching the boy's description and detained Grisso for allegedly driving with a suspended license.
Evans says that Grisso was interviewed and evidence was located to charge him in the school-related case.
