Wrong-Way Driver Triggers Crash, Injures 2 on I-215
TEMECULA (CBS) — A wrong-way driver triggered a crash Friday on Interstate 215 in Temecula that critically injured her and the other motorist.
The crash happened around 4:45 a.m. on northbound I-215, near McCall Boulevard, according to the CHP.
Stephanie Porras, 22, of Moreno Valley, entered the freeway in her 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt going south in the northbound lanes, according to officials.
Kyle Amaris, 22, of Temecula, was in the fast lane on the 215, heading north at around 65 mph in his 2010 Nissan Sentra, when he saw Porras' headlights, but had little time to react, resulting in the two vehicles colliding head-on, the CHP said.
Both drivers were transported to the Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, where they were listed in critical condition.
