5-Acre Brush Fire Contained Near Brea
BREA (CBS) —A brush fire broke out Wednesday morning near Carbon Canyon Regional Park.
The five-acre Rose Fire began around 8:50 a.m. The burned near Rose Drive and Valencia Avenue. It was contained around 10: 15 a.m.
CBS 2's Derek Bell reported that winds in the area were blowing around 30 miles per hour.
No injuries were reported and no evacuations were ordered.
Fire officials have not determined the cause of the fire.
A red flag warning is in effect Wednesday for much of Southern California.
