Win 'Cash For College' At The LA Convention Center
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Middle school and early high school students will have a chance to win college scholarships Wednesday and Thursday by signing an early commitment to attend college.
More than 13,000 education-hungry students are expected to attend the two-day College & Career Convention in search of "Cash for College" at the LA Convention Center.
The event is organized by the L.A. Area Chamber and UNITE-LA. "Cash for College" provides financial aid and college prep workshops, an exhibit hall full of college and career representatives and AB540 workshops that focus on higher education opportunities for immigrant students.
More than 90 college representatives from across the United States including USC, UC Berkeley and Harvey Mudd College will also be in attendance.
