Why Exercise Can Be The Best Medicine

STUDIO CITY (KCAL 9) — Dr. Ruth Anderson visited the KCAL 9 set Wednesday to discuss preventing and fighting various diseases with exercise.

Small changes like walking 10 minutes a day or opting to take the stairs instead of an elevator can help.

Among other benefits, exercise helps lower a person's chances of developing hypertension, as well as lower blood pressure and the body's blood sugar.
