LAPD arrests murder suspect after hours-long search in Westwood
The Los Angeles Police Department closed Sunset Boulevard east of the 405 Freeway to search for a murder suspect in Westwood on Thursday.
Officers with the LAPD's Gang and Narcotic Fugitive Task Force started searching for the suspect at about 4:30 p.m. in the area of Sunset Boulevard and Glenroy Avenue.
Police used a K-9 unit to help locate the suspect and eventually arrested him after about 3.5 hours.
The Los Angeles Fire Department took one person to the hospital.
