WeHo Street Closures To Be In Effect For 'LA Pride' Festival

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Several street closures will be in effect this weekend during the 2014 LA PRIDE celebration, which features a two-day festival and parade.

Demi Lovato will serve as grand marshal of the event, which is expected to draw more than 400,000 spectators and marchers to West Hollywood.

The festival will take place at West Hollywood Park from 12 p.m. Saturday to 12 a.m. Sunday, as well as 11 a.m. Sunday to 11 p.m. Sunday.

A parade will also kick off at 11 a.m. Sunday on Santa Monica Boulevard.

Tickets to the three-day event are free for active military members and children, $20 for general admission and $100 for VIP access.

The following street closures will be in place:

- Santa Monica Boulevard between Fairfax Avenue and Doheny Drive from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday

- San Vicente Boulevard between Santa Monica Boulevard and Melrose Aveneue from 7 p.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. Monday

- Crescent Heights Boulevard from Romaine Street to Fountain Avenue from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday

- Streets one block north and south of Santa Monica Boulevard will also be closed between Fairfax Avenue and La Peer Drive from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday
