Water Main Breaks On Encino Street
ENCINO (CBSLA.com) — Crews Friday were cleaning up after another water main break in the San Fernando Valley.
The pipe burst around 2:40 a.m. on Haskell, just north of Ventura Boulevard, in a residential area of Encino.
Water was seen pouring through asphalt and cracks in the street.
The water was shut off around 3:30 a.m., the Department of Water and Power said.
Between 60 and 80 home were affected by the break, which was under investigation.
Officials said the cleanup process could take up to 10 hours.
