True Blood Halloween: Day 3
I planted my garden this morning while the rain fell. The cabbage plants and succulents really added great dimension. I can't wait to see how it looks at night!
I tried to get this slug to slide down a pumpkin, but he was camera shy.
It's okay, because my beautiful silver pumpkins, succulents, ferns, small palm, cabbage plants and flowers were truly the stars of the show. I had so much fun planting in the rain this morning.
To make the transition from Sookie's pretty garden to the dark vampy nightclub vibe of Fangtasia, I knew I had to go with the club's colors. Red & black.
These cheap fake black roses are available everywhere. The bloody cheesecloth was easy to make and cheaper than the $7 version at Halloween stores.
I bought a cheesecloth at the 99 Cent Store, dipped it in cold coffee with a drop of red food dye to make it look like it sopped up blood. I dripped red candle wax onto the cloth. (I learned this trick by accidentally tipping over a candle the other night. Happy accident!)
Just wait until we get inside Club Fangtasia!
