Traffic Expected As Vice Pres. Joe Biden Wraps Up Visit In LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Traffic delays were expected on Thursday as Vice President Joe Biden wraps up his visit here in Southern California.

According to the White House, Biden is scheduled to travel from Los Angeles International Airport to Detroit.

Officers have advised the public to avoid the following streets between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.:

— Santa Monica between Rodeo Drive and Sawtelle boulevards

— Imperial Highway between Sepulveda Boulevard and Vista Del Mar

— Pershing Drive between Imperial Highway and Manchester Avenue

Rodeo Drive and El Camino will remain closed between Wilshire and Charleville boulevards until 7 a.m.

He paid visit to the Southland on Wednesday to speak at the Solar Power International Conference, located at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Biden also spoke during a closing session of the U.S.-China Climate Leaders Summit, located at the J.W. Marriott at L.A. LIVE in downtown Los Angeles.
