This 40-Year-Old Twinkie Stands Test Of Time
BLUE HILL, Maine (CBSLA.com) — Four decades after being taken out of its wrapper, a Twinkie in Maine has managed to retain its shape.
Apparently, a chemistry teacher at George Stevens Academy took the sweet treat out of its wrapper in 1976 for his class.
The idea was to see how long it would take to rot.
Though the students have aged and moved on, the Twinkie looks like it hasn't.
In fact, it now sits in the office of one of the school's deans as proof that preservatives work.
