Teen Prodigy's Musical Instruments Stolen
OXNARD (CBS) — A burglary at an Oxnard home on Sunday has left a teenage prodigy without her musical instruments.
Rachel Flowers, 17, was born premature and lost her sight three months later.
Her mother taught her how to play the piano at age 2 and it was clear from the beginning that she had a special gift.
Police Wednesday continued to search for the thieves, who stole two flutes, a saxophone, a cello and various other items.
In the meantime Rachel was hopeful that the instruments would be returned or replaced so that she could get back to making music.
