Teen Activist Inspires Others To 'Be The Change' In The World

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Teen activist Zach Hunter visited the KCAL 9 studios Friday.

Hunter, 19, is an author, speaker and activist, who began the campaign "Loose Change to Loosen Chains" to end modern-day slavery when he was 12 years old. Global slavery affects millions of people, including children. He used social networking to spread the word around the world.

Zach has spoken at the White House and internationally, inspiring people to find something they can be passionate about -- and to encourage them to move from interest to action.

Zach's books, "Be the Change," "Lose Your Cool," and "Generation Change," which inspire other teens to find and act on causes about which they are passionate, have been endorsed by the likes of Jon Foreman (Switchfoot), Alyson Stoner (Phineas and Ferb, Step Up 3D, Camp Rock), Jeff Foxworthy (Comedian, author and host of "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader").
