Study: Lonely People Take Drastic Steps To Fit In
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Young or old, everyone acknowledges that being different is never easy. Now a new study says we often go to extreme lengths to not stand out in a crowd.
A study by the Journal of Consumer Research shines a light on what people will do to fit in and avoid
being lonely — and from the looks of it, humans may fear isolation as much as anything else.
KFWB's Maggie McKay spoke with Kathleen Vohs, a Professor of Marketing at the University of Minnesota, and one of the authors of the study.
