VAN NUYS (CBSLA) – The search for a man possibly armed with a gun locked down a school in Van Nuys Thursday.

At around 11:15 a.m., Los Angeles police responded to a 911 call regarding a Hispanic man possibly brandishing a weapon in the 14700 block of Erwin Street.

Police established a perimeter and locked down the Children's Community School, which is located at 4702 Sylvan St.

As of 2:15 p.m., the search and lockdown was ongoing. There was no word of whether police had located the suspect.
