School Re-opens After Police Arrest Stolen Car Suspect On Campus
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A Canoga Park elementary school has re-opened after police found and arrested one of two stolen-car suspects.
Officers were following the vehicle when it crashed about 1 a.m. near Winnetka Avenue and Stagg Street, Los Angeles police Officer Sara Faden said.

The two occupants got out and ran and officers heard a gunshot, Faden said. No officers were hurt.
One suspect was arrested a short time later on the grounds of nearby Sunny Brae Elementary School. Police searched the school and declared it safe to enter at 7:35 a.m., Officer Bruce Borihanh said. The start of the school day was slightly delayed.
Police searched the neighborhood for a firearm, but none was found.
