LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The hand prints and finger paintings created by Prince William and Princess Catherine during their stay in L.A. were displayed to the media Wednesday.
The royal couple sank their hands into concrete slabs at the Inner City Art Center last Sunday.
The slabs will be fired and kept in a secure place out of public view. The school is working with the British Consulate and Clarence House to find out what to do next.
The couple also created painting with input from inner city students. Princess Catherine painted a snail.
"They were instructed by one of our student escorts to create a mandala, which is an ancient way of painting and really is to start in the middle of the painting and work outward. So you're seeing about a 10-minute representation of the beginnings of their paintings," said Operations Director Susie Goliti.
She said the students are still talking about the royal visit adding that it gave them an emotional boost, knowing that foreign royalty was interested in them and their work.
