Roseanne Barr Blasts Chick-Fil-A, 'Christian Liars' On Twitter

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Roseanne Barr is apologizing for a tweet she sent Wednesday attacking Chick-fil-A, as well as customers of the fast food chain.

"anyone who eats S*** Fil-A deserves to get the cancer that is sure to come from eating antibiotic filled tortured chickens 4Christ," she tweeted earlier, later adding, "off to grab a s*** fil-A sandwich on my way to worshipping Christ, supporting Aipac and war in Iran."

Several Twitter users responded to Barr:

"I lost two brothers to cancer, Roseanne. What a truly heinous thing to say," Jim Henson (‏@writestuffla) wrote.

"your Chick Fil A comment has blatantly exposed your ignorance, Just makes me sad for you. you hear and choose to ignore," Cindy Shepherd (@cshepherdkktm) shared.

Barr later fired back to criticism:

Chick-fil-A is facing backlash after President Dan Cathy said publicly that he doesn't support same-sex marriage earlier this month.

The youth wing of the Gay and Lesbian Community Services Center of Orange County protested at a new Chick-fil-A location in Laguna Hills Thursday afternoon.

"Mayor Thomas Menino of Boston tells s%#@ fil-a they are not welcome there! #hero" Barr also tweeted Thursday.
