Riverside To Hold Benefit Concert For Japan Victims
RIVERSIDE (CBS) — The city of Riverside will host a concert on April 1, benefiting its sister city, Sendai, Japan, which was devastated by the recent magnitude-9.0 earthquake and tsunami.
"Playing for a Cause: Benefit Concert" will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Grove Community Church, 1990 Grove Community Church Drive.
The show will feature the Riverside King High School Band, "The Kingsmen," under the direction of Charles Gray.
Donations/tickets are $20 or $15 with military or student identification. All proceeds from the concert will go directly to Sendai to aid their relief efforts by way of the International Relations Council of Riverside and its Sister Cities Program.
